This OUTDOOR RATED (IP66), REGULAR-DUTY, 22AWG, 3.3-ft (1m) long DC power extension cable can handle up to 2A of current and is great for adding additional length to your existing outdoor DC power cables. This outdoor cable has an M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel socket at one end of the cable and an M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel plug at the other end of the cable. A weatherproof seal is created by the M12-1.75 screw connectors at the ends of the cable which keeps out water and dirt creating reliable connections. This weatherproof seal is created by compression of the rubber O-ring on the male connector when the connectors are firmly screwed together (refer to illustrations). This outdoor cable works with other M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connectors on our outdoor rated battery eliminator kits and outdoor accessories such as our outdoor power extension cables, outdoor power splitter cables, outdoor active dummy cell batteries, and our outdoor solar panels & modules.

This outdoor power cable is intended for the do-it-yourselfer with the equipment and skills necessary to solder the stripped and tinned bare ends of the cable to the appropriate points in an electronic circuit. The most common application of this outdoor cable is to replace an existing power cable on a solar panel since most solar panels on the market do not have outdoor rated (IP66) power cables. Most solar panels on the market have simple “push-to-connect” type 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plugs which allow water and dirt to penetrate which eventually leads to an unreliable connection due to corrosion and degradation of the electrical connection between barrel connectors. The M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plug at one end of this outdoor rated cable creates a weatherproof seal when the M12-1.75 screw connector is mated with an appropriate M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm female barrel socket. This outdoor power splitter cable has a single M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm female barrel socket at the end of the common cable and M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plugs at the split ends of the cable. Weatherproof seals are created by the M12-1.75 screw connectors which keep out water and dirt creating reliable connections.
