The C Active Dummy Cell Battery included in this kit is the same size as a regular C battery, so it easily fits into the electronic device's battery compartment. Just make sure you observe the correct polarity just as you would when inserting a real battery. The thin flat flexible cable (FFC cable) coming out of the C Active Dummy Cell Battery can easily be run around the side of most battery compartment covers, so the original battery compartment cover can still be used. In some cases, it might be necessary to take a small file and file out a shallow groove in the battery compartment cover to give the FFC cable more room to run around the side of the cover.

The AC to DC Wall Power Adapter included in this kit is designed for use with the included C Active Dummy Cell Battery. The AC to DC Wall Power Adapter plugs into a standard wall outlet and converts the 120VAC coming from the wall outlet into an output voltage ranging from 1.0VDC to 1.5VDC which is the voltage required to power electronic devices that use 1 x C battery. Since this AC to DC Wall Power Adapter can supply up to 1-Amp of output current, it can power virtually any electronic device on the market that uses 1 x C battery including wall clocks, automatic soap dispensers, touchless paper towel dispensers, automatic pet feeders. pulse igniters for tankless water heaters, electronic spark igniters for gas cooktops & ovens, etc. The C Active Dummy Cell Battery FFC cable and AC to DC Wall Power Adapter cable can easily be hidden behind furniture, plants and under table cloths, rugs, decorative snow, etc..

NOTE: The C Active Dummy Cell Battery is not a real battery and will not power an electronic device on its own. It needs to be used in conjunction with the included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter as discussed above and depicted in the included diagram.

NOTE: The C Active Dummy Cell Battery is made of an AA Active Dummy Cell Battery and a hollow plastic C cell battery dummy case. The AA Active Dummy Cell Battery simply slides into the hollow plastic C cell battery dummy case as shown in the pictures. The hollow plastic C cell battery dummy case essentially serves as a AA to C battery size converter, so it will properly fit in the electronic device's battery compartment.

WARNING(S): Do not attempt to charge the C Active Dummy Cell Battery with a battery charger. Doing so may damage the battery charger.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

· The included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter converts 120VAC coming from a standard wall outlet to the voltage produced by a single C cell battery (0.8VDC to 1.5VDC). This conversion process results in the generation of some electrical noise which may interfere with the proper operation of certain types of sensitive electronic devices such as detection and measurement devices and motion sensors. If your electronic device operates erratically after replacing the C battery with this 1 x C Battery Eliminator Kit, then the electrical noise generated by the AC to DC Wall Power Adapter is most likely interfering with the proper operation of your electronic device, and this kit will not work, and you will need to continue to power your device with a regular C battery. We apologize for this inconvenience, and you can return the kit for a refund.

· The included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter converts the 120VAC coming from the wall outlet into a voltage ranging from 1.0VDC to 1.5VDC which is what’s needed to supply power to electronic devices that use 1 x C battery. A fresh regular alkaline C battery supplies about 1.5VDC and has an end-of-life voltage of 0.8VDC, so the voltage supplied by this power adapter is within the range required by electronic devices that operate on a single C alkaline battery. The power adapter is supplying the same power as these single C batteries, and your electronic devices won’t know the difference. Our power adapters can power more than one electronic device, so if you need to power multiple electronic devices from a single AC to DC wall power adapter, simply purchase the necessary active dummy cell batteries, power splitter cables, and power extension cables. 1 x C Active Dummy Cell Battery is needed for each electronic device you wish to power. This AC to DC Wall Power Adapter will not work with electronic devices that use more than 1 x C alkaline battery.

· The output voltage provided by the included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter is typically 1.5VDC at no output current (0-Amps) and decreases as the output current increases. Please refer to the “Output Voltage Regulation” values in the “Specifications” table below and the graph of the “Typical Output Voltage vs Output Current” in the pictures. The end-of-life voltage for a single C alkaline battery is about 0.8V, and this AC to DC Wall Power Adapter can maintain an output voltage of between 1.0VDC and 1.5VDC while providing up to 1-Amp of output current. This voltage range is sufficient to power devices that operate on a single C alkaline battery.
